TAKING CARE OF YOUR POOL IN THREE EASY STEPS
Cleaning your pool actually takes more than three steps, but I think you get my drift. If you decide to take on the task of cleaning out your pool on your own, there are a few things you will need to look at. If you get lost and confused, you can call naples pool service to finish the job. Your pool consists of a few main compartments. These compartments need to be looked after on a regular basis.
Here’s what to do.
1) Every couple of days you need to skim the top of your pool. Take your one hand and look for floating debris. Once you find the debris, get rid of it. The debris will eventually find its way to the bottom, clogging things up. You can use a net for the harder to reach areas. This will do two things for your pool. It will improve the pool’s circulation. It will also reduce the amount of chlorine you need to add to the pool.
2) You should check the basket out. Take the basket out and spray some water inside. This will remove the dirt and debris lying in there. Take the extra dirt that has been sprayed out and get rid of it.
3) Once a week you will need to vacuum out the pool. All you need is a top-notch pool vacuum and you are good to go. Use the vacuum to get at the walls. Get at the floor of the pool. Get in to those hard-to-reach areas.
This will cut down on any kind of buildup. The two biggest concerns you will have is with the algae and the calcium deposits. Calcium deposits can lead to much bigger issues down the road, if not taken care of sooner. The algae buildup can also lead to much bigger problems.
Vacuuming once a week will take care of it. If you are not experienced enough to do this, have someone come in and do it professionally. It’s also good to get the tiles too, not matter what size pool you have.
4) You will need to clean out the filter. Now there are three different types. If you have no idea which one you have, it’s best to find out. Each type of filter requires its own kind of cleaning. Each filter also requires its own shopping details. If you have a sand filter, you can not replace it with a cartridge filter. It will not work. Make sure you replace like with like.
If you have any questions, ask the guys at the store. If you have any issues with installing a new one, have a professional pool cleaner take a look. These guys are trained to know how and when to install the filter.
